How I Turned My Urban Classroom into a Small Farm (and delicious, healthy food)

Farm-to-Fork (but for real, though...)

Looking for a way to bring a LIFE to your classroom? Wanting students to learn personal responsibility and empathy? Hoping to create world citizens with an understanding of both micro and macro economics? Wanting students to enjoy the pride of eating something they raised/grew?

This session will be packed full of ideas for any teacher wanting to dive into a Farm to Fork project. No previous gardening or livestock rearing needed. (Don't worry, vegetarians and vegans- this project includes meat AND vegetable projects, with details and resources for both.) Session information will include: how to get started, who to talk to, list of agencies and professional organizations, list of guest speakers, detailed materials list, detailed budget, correlated curriculum with aligned CTE standards, and connections for FREE resources!

This project truly crosses all curriculum and multiple grade levels, and is easily adaptable to your needs and learning goals for students. So if you teach Math, Science, ELA, SS, History, Ag, Music, Art, Career Readiness, Business, Entrepreneurship, or just like to eat, you need to come to this session.
